Facilities
ZEN Performance has a dedicated premises in Wellingborough, Northants and a Dastek 4wd Rolling Road Dynamometer.
Staff
ZEN Performance is built upon the engineering and motorpsort experience of Technical Director Paul Blamire.
ZEN grew out of and upon Paul's privateer tuning of his Subaru Legacy and then Subaru Impreza WRX RA, which latterly became the ZEN 4 door demo car. Thousands of development hours were spent on the 4 door Impreza from 2005 to 2007 and thousands more were spent over the winter 2007/08 on the 'new' 2 door Impreza demo car. The ZEN 4-door Impreza led the 2007 UK Time Attack Pro-Series from start to finish and the new ZEN demo car finished 4th in the 2008 Time Attack series.
Paul Blamire worked in mechanical and manufacturing systems engineering for 10 years; notably designing and consulting on the build of remotely operated under water vehicles, some of which were used to explore The Titanic, as well as leading a team in the design and manufacture of an eddy current engine dynamometer, used to test kart racing engines. Paul uses his engineering skills in the R&D side of ZEN, particularly in new product development and specification.
As a teenager Paul first became involved in motorsport; building, tuning and racing 100cc karts. Paul now builds, develops and runs the ZEN 750bhp 4 door demo car and new ZEN 2 door, wide body WRC-shelled Impreza in competitive events such as Time Attack and Ten of the Best.
Paul has extensive experience in engine management re-programming and his 'mapping' skills are well regarded throughout Europe.
| Liz Blamire is responsible for marketing, administration and operations at ZEN.
