Braking
Choosing the equipment that will stop your car is just as important as any other element of your vehicle's specification and clearly the more power you put through your car, the more stopping power you will need! With additional power comes the ability to gain more speed between bends on the road or track, what seems like an adequate set of brakes with standard power levels can soon inspire little or no confidence with the 50% or high power increases that are so readily available.
ZEN Performance can supply and fit braking consumables such as pads, lines, hoses and fluids, along with the more significant investment of complete brake upgrades.

Pads
Mintex manufacture a wide range of road and race pads - at ZEN Performance we aim to keep stock of all Subaru Impreza applications. For fast road use we generally recommend the Mintex M1155 compound, offering great fade resistance and good cold bite, at a competitve price. For serious drivers and those participating in track days, the F-series compounds offer increased friction levels and heat resistance.We also stock Ferodo and Pagid pads for certain applications, particularly big brake kits such as StopTech and AP. |  |
Performance Friction
Available for the newage Impreza STi, Performance Friction 2 piece discs and pads make an excellent upgrade for those that wish to increase the performance of their brakes without going to the lengths and cost of fitting a big brake kit.
Performance Friction discs and carbon metallic pads excel on and off track, making them ideal and highly praised by those that take part in track days in their road car.

StopTech Big Brake Kits
Big brake kits exceed factory performance by having larger rotors to increase heat distribution and stiffer calipers and stainless steel lines to reduce system compliance.
StopTech kits do this without upsetting the factory front to rear brake torque ratios and therefore without sacrificing the tractive abilities of all 4 tyres. The number of pistons and their size in this application also reduces any possible performance losses by maintaining the ability for you the driver, to modulate the brake pedal. Kits are available for the front rear, or as a complete kit for both axles.
Stoptech brake kits have also excelled in numerous independent tests and technical advances & patents.
