Electronic components are an intrinsic part of modern performance vehicles. Engine control units and boost controllers, as well as sensors and gauges, enable performance parameters to be altered, monitored and maximised.

There is an ever-increasing range of engine management systems on offer for Japanese marques, with most needs as well as budgets now catered for. Paul Blamire, Technical Director, has extensive experience in mapping many of these systems to maximise engine performance and longevity.

Apexi

The Apexi Power FC is a powerful product and represents good value for money. It is a stand alone engine control unit, capable of total control of the engine parameters. Available for many Japanese cars, we specialise in fitting and mapping for Subaru, Nissan and Toyota applications.

It is immensely capable, and provides excellent access over the controls (when professionally mapped). For available applications it's vastly superior to piggy back controllers and offers enhanced flexibility over chip based solutions. Since the mapping itself is the most important part of any ECU upgrade, the more time that is spent actually mapping, rather than editing hex files and reprogramming eproms, the better the end result becomes. Despite the potential for high power, the PowerFC retains the stock idle control quality, cruise and light load driveability.

Autronic

The Autronic SM4 is available in both 'plug and play' and wire-in options. Both ECU's allow total control of engine parameters, alongside extras useful to higher specification and competition cars such as Anti-Lag and Launch Control.

The Power FC provides full control of all engine parameters with the added extra of a hand commander for basic end-user adjustments. This ECU requires the factory air flow sensor to be retained. Please enquire for non Subaru models.
