ZEN Impreza in 2005
In 2005 the ZEN Subaru Impreza WRX RA achieved fantastic results and was consistenly one of the fastest Impreza's in the UK.
Although losing out in the final of Scooby Shootout in May 2005, Paul ran the fastest 1/4 mile time of the day with a 10.63 @ 135mph. At the Jap Show (Santa Pod) the following month, the ZEN car ran the fastest recorded time of an Impreza to date, with a 10.46s 1/4 mile @ 132mph.
At the end of July at TOTBIV the ZEN RA put in another stonking performance, being placed 9th overall out of all cars competing, posting the fastest top speed (184.9mph) and handling times of the day for a Subaru and coming an impressive 5th overall in the drag with a time of 10.31s @ 140mph. Paul picked up 2 awards from Scooby Magazine and 1 from Turbo Dynamics for his performance.
In the Autumn ZEN was invited to 2 magazine test days (articles below) and continued to prove that ZEN are masters in Scooby tuning. At Bruntingthorpe Paul reduced the best 1/4mile time for the RA down to 10.27s @ 147mph. Same venue, different day, he did 0-60mph in 2.64s and 0-100mph in 5.65s - that is faster than a McLaren F1!
